2026 Sewer Billing Update
The District’s current residential sewer rate has been $49.35 per month, but beginning in June of 2026, this rate will increase by 8% each year through 2030. The new monthly residential bill will be $53.30 per month until June of 2027.

Northern Moraine’s monthly rate remains lower than many neighboring wastewater districts.
This multi-year rate adjustment follows a comprehensive facility plan and rate study from 2024 evaluating long‑term maintenance and capital needs. To understand our budget gap in simplest terms, the District’s annual costs for operations and to maintain our existing assets are slightly above $7 million, but our annual revenue is only about half of that, leaving an annual deficit of over $3 million. Rate adjustments are necessary to close this gap and ensure the long‑term stability of the wastewater system.

Billing Information
The District bills monthly, after the service has been provided.
Payment is due in the District office on the due date printed on the bill. The District allows 21 days for payment, calculated from the date the bills are mailed.
A 10% penalty will be added to all payments received after 11:59 pm on the due date.
Please call promptly to notify the office staff of any name or address corrections and notify the office staff if you are selling your home.
By Ordinance, the District only bills property owners. Renters will not receive bills. This is done to protect the property owner from adverse action being taken by the District as a result of non-payment of the sanitary sewer service bills by your tenant.
