IF YOU EXPERIENCE A SEWER BACKUP

     When experiencing a sewer backup, please contact the District at 847-526-3300 before calling a plumber. Our personnel will respond to assess the problem. Sometimes the blockage is in the District’s sewer line and we can quickly open the main. If it is determined that the blockage is in the private service line, a plumber should be called. If the blockage is between the house and the sanitary sewer main, all necessary repairs and restoration are the responsibility of the homeowner.
